Scope

This policy applies to CVfy accounts, resume uploads, generated portfolio pages, dashboard activity, analytics, support requests, and public portfolio pages. It does not apply to third-party websites that you link to or visit from CVfy.

Information we collect

• Account information, such as your name, email address, login provider, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
• User content, such as resumes, extracted resume text, portfolio sections, images, links, testimonials, theme choices, and published page content.
• Usage and technical information, such as pages viewed, device and browser details, approximate location from network data, timestamps, log data, error reports, and security events.
• Communications, such as support emails, privacy requests, feedback, and other messages you send to CVfy.

How we use information

• Create and secure your account.
• Parse resumes, generate editable portfolio drafts, host portfolio pages, and provide dashboard features.
• Store files and published content you choose to upload or publish.
• Monitor abuse, debug errors, prevent fraud, protect users, and maintain service reliability.
• Respond to support, privacy, deletion, and legal requests.
• Improve CVfy's product quality, performance, and usability.

AI processing

Resume text and related portfolio content may be sent to AI providers to extract, summarize, classify, rewrite, or format content. AI providers may process prompts, outputs, metadata, and abuse-monitoring logs under their own security and retention controls.

CVfy does not intentionally sell resume content or use it for third-party advertising. You should not upload highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your portfolio and you are comfortable having it processed to provide the service.

Sharing and service providers

CVfy shares information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete actions you request. Service providers may include hosting, database, file storage, authentication, email, analytics, security, and AI infrastructure providers.

CVfy does not sell your personal information. CVfy does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Published content

If you publish a portfolio, the published page and its content become public. Public pages may be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, cached, archived, or shared by third parties outside CVfy's control.

Cookies and analytics

CVfy uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, analytics, and service performance. You can control many browser-based technologies through your browser settings, but disabling essential storage may break login or dashboard features.

Retention and deletion

CVfy keeps account and portfolio data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account or request deletion, active account data is deleted or de-identified unless retention is required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, abuse prevention, backups, or legitimate business records.

Backups, logs, provider records, cached public pages, and search engine copies may persist for a limited time outside the active product database.

Your privacy rights

• Request access to personal information associated with your account.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of account data and uploaded content.
• Request export of data where technically feasible.
• Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law gives you that right.
• Opt out of sale or sharing where applicable. CVfy does not sell personal information or knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

CVfy uses technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.

Children

CVfy is not intended for children under 18. Do not create an account or upload information if you are under 18.

International processing and contact
